In recent days, MANTRA has confirmed the final phase of the token upgrade: the old OM will be renamed to MANTRA with a 4:1 split on March 2, 2026, meaning for every 1 OM you will receive 4 MANTRA, in a non-dilutive manner (the total portfolio value does not change).
After definitively deprecating the ERC20 OM on Ethereum, the focus now shifts to the OM tokens still scattered in the Cosmos ecosystem (Stargaze, Osmosis, and other IBC chains).
The team has clarified that only the OM present on MANTRA Chain at the time of the upgrade will automatically benefit from the 4:1 renaming.
Those who still hold OM on other Cosmos chains must use IBC to "bring home" the tokens to MANTRA Chain; otherwise, they risk not receiving the new MANTRA post-split.
In a recent post, MANTRA publicly reported that there are still 44,790 un-migrated OM on Stargaze, urging holders to transfer them immediately.
