Binance to Launch Payment Card in El Salvador by 2026
According to ChainCatcher, cryptocurrency payment company Binance is set to introduce a payment card in El Salvador on January 29, 2026. This project, created in collaboration with Visa, will let users spend USDT directly from their self-custody wallets.
The card will not require preloading or any custodial service, and the currency conversion fee will be 2%. Users in Brazil will also benefit because they won’t need to pay the IOF tax. After the launch in El Salvador, the card will become available to all Binance users.
Binance also plans to expand the service to more countries, including Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Russia. The company aims to add more local stablecoins to its self-custody wallet by early #2025.
