The decentralized exchange MonoSwap, known for its “yield farming” services in the cryptocurrency space, has become the victim of a serious hacker attack.

The attackers entered the system by installing malware on the computer of one of the developers, posing as a venture investor during a telephone conversation.

As a result, the MonoSwap team strongly recommends that users stop adding liquidity and staking in pools until further notice. Those who already have staked assets should withdraw them immediately to avoid possible losses.

As a result of the attack, hackers were able to gain access to wallets and contracts associated with MonoSwap, which led to the withdrawal of a significant part of the staked liquidity.

The project team is actively investigating the incident and promises to provide detailed information soon.

“We are developing a refund plan. The team will make every effort to recover the stolen assets,” the company said on social network X.
