Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson immediately responded with pure sarcasm in his comments. He welcomed McAfee back, saying he has been missed, but called the newcomer behind the account 'a crude copy' of his former glory.

Welcome back, John. Glad to hear from you. You have been missed, although it is just a crude copy of your former glory

When a user on X asked Hoskinson not to engage with this tweet anymore, Hoskinson stated that 'John is being resurrected as a suspected AI cryptocurrency scam.' He then continued with sarcastic criticism, talking about Metaverses and recalling John McAfee's controversial biography: 'He will develop a digital drug habit within a week and then start a Metaverse called New Belize before fleeing to Europe.'
