What is the difference between USDT and USDC?

Both are stablecoins pegged to the US dollar, but there are important differences:

Very popular and widely used in trading.

Has some criticisms regarding transparency and reserves.

2️⃣ USDC (USD Coin):

Issued by Circle in collaboration with Coinbase.

More transparent than USDT, and subject to regular audits.

Sometimes preferred for banking uses and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Both aim to maintain a value of 1 dollar, but the difference lies in trust
