Inter-exchange (inter-platform) arbitrage

Buy on one exchange → sell on another.

✅ Pros:

• The most understandable and logical

• There are often discrepancies in volatile markets

❗ Cons:

• You need accounts on several exchanges

• Fees, spreads, and transfer time can “eat” into profits

• Sometimes a large amount is needed for the difference to be significant

Intra-exchange arbitrage (inter-currency)

This is when you use different trading pairs on the same exchange.

📍 Example:

• ETH/USDT = $3,000

• BTC/USDT = $60,000

• ETH/BTC = 0.0495

→ You can execute a triangular trade, where after a series of exchanges you receive more than you spent.

📐 This is called triangular arbitrage

✅ Pros:

• No need to transfer assets between exchanges

• Can be automated

• Fast and safe
