Algeria has just enacted a law that formally prohibits the use of cryptocurrencies. From now on, those who risk violating this law are exposed to severe consequences, both financially and criminally. They could face up to one year in prison and a fine ranging from 200,000 to 1,000,000 dinars (approximately 1,330 to 6,600 euros in fines).
