I didn't expect @WalletConnect to have its own token $WCT . I'm curious what it can be used for? Will buying it make my wallet assets safer?👀

Since several wallets were inexplicably hacked last time, I've indeed been using walletconnect more and more. Basically, I only keep wallets on my Apple phone, and I don't keep money in browser extensions; I scan to use them. I also bought a new MacBook, and the old one has been cleaned up to be used as a dedicated wallet hardware. As for why I don't just use a cold wallet, it's mainly because it's too much trouble...

After the incident, I transferred most of the tokens to several exchanges. I used to look down on exchanges, doing everything on-chain that could be done on-chain, but now I find it really nice 😅

Also, I don't have to install a bunch of messy wallet extensions for various chains anymore, like metamask (this is pure garbage, doge head for life), phantom, keplr (RIP my bunch of worthless coins), talisman, martian, and so on. Just can you connect or not? If not... I'll just open the web page on my phone.

Anyway, most dApps support it; the web3 universal socket is not named for nothing... Just plug it in.
