With the recent mass adoption of international cards and new payment options in Venezuela, discontent has grown because "some platforms do not go through". But let's be honest: many times the real problem is not technical, it's speculation.
Under the excuse of "gaining an advantage" or "I need to recharge to pay", thousands of users use these mechanisms not for their personal consumption or savings, but for excessive arbitrage and resale. This is compounded by the irresponsibility of some channels and content creators who, in order to gain likes and views, expose methods to "bypass" systems and "roll" money without measuring the collective consequences.
Why does this practice affect all of us Venezuelans?
• 🚫 They burn the payment gateways: When international systems detect massive patterns of suspicious or unusual transactions from Venezuela, the easiest solution for them is to block the service for the entire region.
• 💼 They suffocate the real entrepreneur: Those who truly need foreign currency and digital platforms to keep their business afloat or pay essential services encounter blockages created by those who only seek easy and quick money.
• 🔒 They cause severe restrictions: Historically, the misuse of these ecosystems only leads to one thing: the shutting off of financial faucets by international institutions towards our country.
A call to consciousness
No one is obligated to buy electronic dollars or use an international card if it does not fit their needs. If you have an immediate liquidity emergency, seeking forced shortcuts with digital dollars is not the solution. These instruments are meant to facilitate trade and growth, not for financial "gaming."
If we do not learn to protect the few spaces of economic freedom that the crypto and digital world offers us in Venezuela, we are doomed to lose them.
