Meta has signed a multi-year deal worth billions 💵 — renting Google AI chips (TPU)!
According to The Information, Meta will use TPU to train new AI models, and starting next year, it may begin purchasing them for its data centers.

At the same time — gigantic contracts with AMD (up to $60 billion for AI chips) and Nvidia. The company is literally buying up everything that will accelerate the race of models.

For Google, this is a big step: TPU becomes a real alternative to Nvidia and an important growth driver for Google Cloud. Plus, they have created a separate structure to lease their chips to other AI giants.
