The strengths of Cardano are simplicity and resilience.

A cut of 11.7 ETH from 39 Ethereum validators on September 10 shows the benefits of Cardano's staking structure. On X, cryptocurrency analyst Dori emphasized the key differences in staking requirements and risks between the two networks.

Ethereum-based systems allow staking with 0.1 ETH and issue liquid tokens. The Ethereum cut mechanism risks a cascading collapse, which is the key distinction. To alleviate the problem of locked funds, platforms like Ankr and Lido Finance pool ETH from numerous users, operate validators, and produce liquid staking tokens like ankrETH and stETH.

Due to an operational error from 39 validators, 11.7 ETH was cut, worth $52,000. A larger cut event could unanchor liquid staking tokens, causing a cascading collapse of DeFi ecosystem mechanisms.

Illiquid staking systems and liquid tokens were built on Ethereum to bypass the barriers and locks of staking. Instead of cuts, Cardano's staking approach allows anyone to stake 10 ADA in a staking pool. The absence of lock periods means that a user's staked assets are safe, even if their staking pool makes mistakes.

Cardanians (CRDN) have revealed a significant vulnerability in Ethereum's staking scheme, highlighting the benefits of Cardano. As the Ethereum staking exit queue has reached an all-time high, users who unstake must wait 46 days to recover their coins.

With liquid staking and no entry or exit queues, Cardano's ADA staking methodology is unusual. Staking ADA keeps the money in the wallet and allows users to use or transfer it and receive incentives without being locked. "The design is fundamentally better," said the expert.
