Kyiv denied the EU's request to inspect the "Druzhba", reports Politico $BTC $ETH $BNB

Several EU countries pressured Ukraine to provide access for inspecting the "Druzhba" oil pipeline, but Kyiv responded with a sharp refusal, reports Politico.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that his country has created a commission to inspect the state of the oil pipeline and demands that Volodymyr Zelensky allow it into Ukraine.

"Several member states (of the EU - ed.) also pressured Kyiv to allow inspectors access to the pipeline, but they were outright denied," the publication writes.

Citing EU diplomats, Politico reports that Ukrainian authorities insist that they need time to assess the extent of the damage to the pipeline.

Kyiv stopped the supply of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline transiting through Ukraine to Slovakia and Hungary on January 27. The Ministry of Economy of Slovakia expected their resumption soon, but this did not happen. The authorities of Slovakia believe that the pipeline is functioning, and the cessation of oil supplies is a political decision by the Ukrainian side, aimed at blackmailing to bring Ukraine closer to EU membership.#IranSuccession #USIranWarEscalation #ukraina #Eu #russia
