⚠️ Quantum Computing Threat: The Invisible Bomb of Bitcoin?

Today I saw an in-depth report from Cointelegraph discussing the potential threat of quantum computing to Bitcoin. This topic is actually quite serious.

🔐 What’s the issue?

Millions of early Bitcoins use outdated cryptographic algorithms that cannot be upgraded to "post-quantum encryption." Once quantum computers become powerful enough, these coins could theoretically be cracked, stolen, and then dumped.

📊 How big is the impact?

- 1 million BTC of Satoshi

- A large number of early addresses from 2009-2012

- The total may account for 20-30% of the circulation

What would happen if these coins were suddenly stolen and sold off?

💡 Did Satoshi leave any clues?

The article mentions that Satoshi may have foreseen this issue long ago and left some sort of "upgrade path" in the code. But what exactly it is, no one has completely figured out yet.

🤔 My opinion

1. **No need to panic in the short term** - Quantum computing is not at that level yet

2. **Must take it seriously in the long term** - This is a problem that needs to be solved within 10-20 years

3. **The community needs to take action** - Plan upgrade strategies in advance, rather than waiting for a crisis to unfold

What do you think? Will quantum computing be the terminator of Bitcoin, or just another technological upgrade?
