I wasn’t planning to read about robots today.

But while scrolling through updates, I stumbled across something called Fabric Protocol backed by the Fabric Foundation and it made me pause for a minute.

At first, I assumed it was another crypto project trying to attach itself to AI. But the idea is actually interesting: creating a shared network where robots can have identities, accept tasks, log their work, and interact through a public system instead of isolated company platforms.

Right now, most robots live inside private ecosystems warehouse bots, factory machines, delivery robots all operating like separate islands. Fabric seems to be trying to build the “roads” between those islands.

Think of it like giving robots passports and a way to prove what they’ve done.

Still early. Still uncertain.

But the bigger thought stuck with me.

Maybe the real challenge in robotics isn’t building smarter machines it’s building the infrastructure that lets thousands of them coordinate in the same world.
