Brothers, it's late at night and the screen is still glowing.

Suddenly I want to light a cigarette and share my heartfelt thoughts with you all. In the blink of an eye, I've been in this circle for eight years. Looking back, the most striking memories aren't about how much I've earned, but rather those near-misses where I almost couldn't climb out of the pits.

The initial capital I had seems like a joke now, completely clueless, only seeing others doubling their money, without realizing others were jumping off buildings. To have come this far, with some numbers in my account that I can actually see, I often feel a sense of dread myself. To be honest, it's not due to any extraordinary talent, but purely from paying enough tuition and getting beaten down, I finally figured out a few 'foolish methods' that allow me to sleep at night.

Today, I will share my personal opinions; listen and see if they make sense.

First, if you're wrong, you must admit it. This is the first lesson I bought with real money. I was the same earlier; when the direction of the order was reversed, I stubbornly refused to admit it, with only one thought in my mind: 'Just wait a bit; it will definitely come back.' What was the result? The market specializes in treating all kinds of noncompliance; what you often wait for is a bigger hole. Now my rule is to think about it before entering the market: if this order is wrong, where will I admit defeat? Once I reach that position, I will decisively close my position without entanglement. Pride is worthless; preserving your chips in the game is what allows for the next round.

Second, when you're having bad luck, go wash your face. Sometimes the market just doesn't make sense; no matter how you feel, you always end up making the wrong decision. At this time, don't get carried away, thinking 'I will definitely win back the next round.' I have drawn a line for myself: if I continuously make judgment errors, I will force myself to shut down the software and call it a day. Many times, after a good night's sleep, you will see that the situation that had you stressed out yesterday has already changed. Being stubborn against the market is the stupidest behavior.

Third, unrealized gains are not your money; only what you put in your pocket counts. Don't just focus on the fluctuating numbers in your account and feel happy; that's all illusory. I have an unshakeable habit: as soon as a trade makes a satisfactory amount, I will definitely withdraw a portion and transfer it elsewhere. Doing this is not to earn more but to remind myself: this round, I have already won. Locking in profits keeps your mindset stable.

Fourth, only eat the fattiest part of the meat; if you don't understand, just watch. The market oscillates back and forth most of the time, with only a few moments having a clear direction. My strategy is to only enter the market when the trend is particularly clear; at other times, I would rather drink tea and watch the show. When the direction is unclear, making random moves, no matter how high the elasticity, will only magnify losses. If you can control your hands, you have already won against most people.

Fifth, never think of yourself as a gambling god. No matter how confident you are, don't stake your entire life savings. My single investment never exceeds a very low percentage. With a light position, you can remain calm and make rational judgments. Under heavy positions, your mindset will inevitably be distorted; even a normal fluctuation can lead you to make foolish decisions.

After eight years, what is my biggest insight?

In this hellish arena, what matters is not who makes a lot of money once but who can survive the longest. Behind all the thrilling tales of sudden wealth are countless silent endings. Those plain words like 'control your hands' and 'maintain discipline' may sound old-fashioned, but they are the true talismans that can keep you safe.

This path is not easy; I hope my little personal insights can help you wake up a bit during your confusion. Let's encourage each other.
