Urgent | The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, announced on Friday the launch of a humanitarian appeal worth $325 million to support Lebanon in facing the displacement crisis caused by the war between Iran-backed Hezbollah and Israel.⁣

♦️Guterres said during a conference attended by representatives from UN agencies and donor countries at the office of the Prime Minister of Lebanon: "I am pleased to join you today to launch an urgent humanitarian appeal worth $325 million to support the people of Lebanon".⁣

♦️He added that this appeal "will help maintain and expand the provision of life-saving assistance over the next three months, including food, clean water, healthcare, education, protection, and other vital services".
