I found @MidnightNetwork a point that is rarely mentioned but very nice.

It is extremely friendly to application developers. Other ZK public chains force you to learn obscure new languages and understand complex circuit designs, with a high threshold.

But Midnight uses Compact, based on the world's second most popular TypeScript. This means that millions of existing Web2 developers do not need to become cryptographers; they can jump right in and fix privacy smart contracts!

Whether the technology is good or not depends on whether the application can be explosive. Lowering the threshold accelerates large-scale implementation. If killer applications are born, they are likely to emerge in such soil.
