The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has stated that during the first two ten-day periods of Ramadan, the total number of visitors and worshippers at the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) reached 96,638,865 (96.6 million).
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), these figures were compiled using data collected through advanced sensor systems installed at the entrances of both mosques.
At Masjid al-Haram, 57,595,401 people performed the five daily prayers and Taraweeh over the past 20 days, while 15,605,086 individuals performed Umrah.
At Masjid an-Nabawi, 21,143,259 people offered the five daily prayers, while 579,191 worshippers performed voluntary prayers in Rawdah Sharifah (Riyaz al-Jannah).
Additionally, 17,115,928 people visited to send salutations (Salam) upon the Prophet ﷺ.
It is worth noting that the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is using advanced sensor technology to track the number of worshippers and Umrah pilgrims.
