Many beginners discover Binance Futures but do not really know how the Buy/Long and Sell/Short buttons work. Here is a quick guide đ
đč Buy/Long
âĄïž Itâs betting that the price will go up.
Example: you enter Long on SOL at 205 $.
If the price rises to 215 $, you make a profit.
But if it drops to 200 $, you are at a loss.
đ The green Buy/Long button is used when you anticipate a market rise.
đč Sell/Short
âĄïž Itâs betting that the price will go down.
Example: you enter Short on SOL at $205.
If the price drops to $195, you gain the difference.
But if it rises to $210, you are at a loss.
đ The red Sell/Short button is used when you anticipate a market decline.
đč Leverage and Risks â ïž
Leverage (x2, x5, x10âŠ) amplifies your gains but also your losses.
A 1% change in the market can become 5% or 10% for you, depending on your leverage.
Always use a Stop Loss (SL) to limit losses, and a Take Profit (TP) to secure your gains.
â Tip for beginners
1. Use a small amount (e.g. 0.01 SOL) to test.
2. Active always TP/SL.
3. Only trade with what you can afford to lose.
đ In summary:
Buy/Long = betting on the rise đ
Sell/Short = betting on the fall đ
Futures trading can be powerful, but it requires discipline and risk management.
