I was reading something about the Boundless project. In my opinion, it can facilitate and achieve further progress in decentralization. By achieving scalability and interoperability between blockchains by creating a decentralized marketplace for the generation and verification of ZK proofs, it makes dApps and other protocols more efficient and scalable in Web3.
The idea is to provide the necessary tools and infrastructure for blockchains to use zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP), which are a way to verify information without revealing the underlying information.
Instead of each node in a blockchain network repeating the same computations, Boundless allows a single "prover" to perform a task and generate a ZK proof that other nodes can quickly verify, reducing redundancy and gas costs, and increasing performance.
By standardizing proofs, Boundless facilitates smooth connectivity between different decentralized applications (dApps), gaming chains, and scaling networks (rollups).
The platform includes a marketplace where developers can submit computing tasks, and "provers" compete to generate ZK proofs, creating a competitive ecosystem.
All of this would enable the development of more complex, powerful dApps without being limited by high gas costs or block size restrictions.
Not to mention it improves the scalability of Web3 to be much more stable and ready for mass knowledge.
Sounds interesting, right? There are surely many more features and details yet to be seen, we will have to wait and see over time.
What do you all think?
I suppose there will be news every day!
