Anthony Scaramucci, the managing partner at SkyBridge Investment, said that the current bearish Bitcoin market can be explained by the four-year cycle and that long-term Bitcoin holders are selling a portion of their holdings at the psychological level of $100,000.
Scaramucci explained that the four-year market cycle has become less intense due to the entry of institutional investors and the inflows of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which have helped to mitigate volatility, but these new dynamics have not completely eliminated the traditional Bitcoin cycles.
He said:
“We are in a four-year cycle, and there have been some traditional whales and some old investors who believe in this cycle. And what happens in life when you believe in something? It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.”
He added that Bitcoin will continue to move in a volatile manner throughout most of this year, before prices begin to rise again in the fourth quarter of 2026 with the start of a new bull market cycle.
