I was honored to be a guest at @Nour Mash in one of the series of sessions organized by a group of content creators to raise awareness about the world of cryptocurrencies and trading, but this time the meeting was a little different.

The meeting discussed the topic "Improving content on Binance Square and search engines", and the main points that were discussed in the first part of it were:

  • What does it mean to improve content?

  • What is the benefit of improving content for Binance Square?

  • How do I improve content for Binance Square?

The reference to improving content for Binance was necessary before discussing improving search engines because for the content to be optimized for search engines, it must first be optimized for the platform that hosts it.

A very important page from the Content Creators Academy on Binance Square was referenced, specifically the educational post titled "Elevate Your Content" which was published by the team . Reading and understanding that post can change the course of the content you publish on Square for the better.

Once these points were confirmed, the presentation moved on to the important part, which is improving Binance Square content for search engines.

Improving Binance Square content for search engines

In this part of the presentation, a set of basic information was mentioned, such as:

  • What does "search engine optimization" mean?

  • Why optimize search engines?

With some practical measures to improve Binance Square content for global search engines, which were:

Among the most important procedures. Why? Because search engines follow links on pages to navigate from one page to another and to find new pages, index them, and display them. There were 3 tips related to this part:

A - Creating links to old posts: that is, inserting links that lead to your relevant content.

B - Creating links to new posts: that is, going back to your already published content and modifying it by adding links in relevant places that lead to your new content.

C - Improving anchor texts: that is, taking care of those texts that links are included in, and here are some guidelines for anchor texts that were not mentioned in the session:

  • Avoid using the URL as your link text; especially if it is long or complicated.

  • Keep the related phrases as short as possible while maintaining their meaning out of context. This will save screen reader users' time, as they will not need to speak for long. For example:

  • Link at least one full word. Two words are usually better.

  • If you need to add action prompts to your link, place them at the end. For example:

  • Do not add the word "link" to your text.

  • Try to ensure that every link is unique on your webpage and uses unique link text.

2 - Improving files (images - videos)

The aim is to work on improving files like images before uploading them to Binance Square and during publication, as it has been pointed out that search engines understand written text better than images, so it is good to pay attention to:

A - Naming the file: before uploading an image, it would be very helpful to create a logical label for it and not just a random name or date. For example, (BNB-Coin.png) is much better than (dkfgjfgjfvvdlkkbf.png).

B - Improving file description: If you upload an image, for example, to an article you publish on Binance Square, make sure to add a descriptive text for it. Note that there is a small text that appears directly below the image when uploaded. Do not think that the developers took the trouble to program that line just for fun or by chance.

C - Putting the file in context: that is, make sure that the files are in their context within the text; adding images without context or adding an image in an inappropriate context in the post may not be a good thing.

3 - Improving keywords

It was emphasized in the session that keywords play a significant role in improving visibility in search results, while it was also pointed out the dangers of overusing them, specifically mentioning:

A - Choosing the most searched keywords: either on Binance Square (like the "Trending Topics on Binance Square" page) or on search engines (like Google Trends for Google search engine).

B - Wise usage: We said that having strong keywords that are in demand in the content pushes the content strongly forward to appear to more people, while it was also pointed out that misusing this practice by "stuffing keywords" may lead to adverse results.

C - Writing for the reader first: I clearly remember that I said in the session that the biggest mistake content creators make is that they discover that search engines can send a lot of visits, they start writing content, but not primarily for people, but for search engines. This is a very bad practice.

My experience with my first audio meeting on Binance Square

I know that sessions in Binance Square usually cover topics related to cryptocurrencies, trading, and markets, and there are usually red envelopes for guests...

Honestly, I entered the session convinced that the absence of "red envelopes" would make attendance weak or almost nonexistent. But the surprise was wonderful:

I found in front of me a group of people who are genuinely eager to develop their content and benefit from any information that can help them succeed.

The best part is that some participants chose to support the session with symbolic monetary gifts ( and ) and for me, this was a strong message: that the Binance Square community is not just people looking for prizes, but there are those who believe that knowledge also deserves recognition.

This gesture gave me a greater motivation to share more practical experiences and useful content in the future. I hope this spirit of caring about information before anything else continues among us forever.

Thank you to everyone who attended, thank you to everyone who interacted, and a bigger thank you to everyone who believed that the session deserves support.
