A recent survey conducted by Oobit highlights a growing interest among full-time employees in receiving part of their paycheck in digital assets. According to Bitcoin Magazine, the survey, which included responses from 1,004 workers, found that 43% of participants expressed interest in a crypto payroll option. Despite this interest, only 7% reported that their employer currently offers such an option.
The study further revealed that 32% of employees would choose to receive part of their salary in cryptocurrency if their employer introduced the option immediately. However, concerns about the volatility of digital assets remain prevalent, with 88% of respondents indicating they are at least somewhat worried about fluctuations in value.
These findings suggest a potential shift in employee preferences towards digital assets, although the apprehension regarding market volatility continues to be a significant barrier to widespread adoption.
