Towards 800,000 $BTC : #strategy accelerates further
#strategy , the company led by Michael Saylor, continues to buy $BTC at an impressive pace and is now approaching a highly symbolic milestone: 800,000 #bitcoins held.
After its latest wave of purchases, the company is only 19,103 BTC away from this threshold. On the market scale, this is colossal. Few players, institutional or private, can even consider such a level of accumulation.
The total value of its reserves is around 55 billion dollars at recent prices, a level that is starting to approach the exposure held by #blackRock through its ETF #bitcoin spot.
The key point is that this accumulation is not slowing down. Quite the opposite.
One billion raised in a week
To finance this new purchase, Strategy relied on its STRC program, a series of preferred shares that allows it to raise capital quickly. Between April 6 and 12, the company recovered about 1 billion dollars, enough to further strengthen its position in $BTC.
The average purchase price in this sequence is 71,902 dollars per bitcoin.
Another strong signal: the volume traded on the STRC ATM surpassed 1 billion dollars in a single day, a record for this instrument. In short, the financing machine is running at full capacity.
Why this mechanism attracts
The STRC program is also attractive because it offers a high yield to investors, with a monthly dividend equivalent to an annualized rate of 11.5%.
Since last July, this channel has allowed Strategy to raise about 3.55 billion dollars. But this model also has a cost: the company must bear nearly 1.2 billion dollars in annual commitments related to these dividends.
Michael Saylor clearly embraces this logic: as long as the long-term performance of #Bitcoin❗ remains above the cost of the raised capital, the strategy remains consistent in its approach.
An aggressive strategy, despite the risks
This accumulation policy does not come without pressure. Strategy has already reported significant unrealized losses on its digital assets, reminding us that such exposure remains very sensitive to market volatility.
But for Saylor, the bet seems unchanged: continue to transform the company's balance sheet into a massive exposure vehicle for Bitcoin.
Why it matters
If Strategy soon crosses the threshold of 800,000 BTC, it would further strengthen its status as a central player in the history of institutional Bitcoin adoption.
This also shows that beyond ETFs, some companies continue to opt for a much more direct strategy: raising capital, buying Bitcoin, and starting again.
In summary
- #Strategy is getting closer to 800,000 #bitcoins held
- The company raised 1 billion dollars in a week via STRC
- The stock of $BTC held now weighs about 55 billion dollars
- The model remains aggressive, costly, but fully embraced by Michael Saylor
To watch now: Strategy's ability to maintain this pace of financing and purchasing without exhaustion.
