🌐ISO20022: November to Remember🌐

⏳The big change in international payments is approaching, and the countdown has begun: November 22, 2025 marks the end of the coexistence period between traditional MT messages and the global standard ISO20022 for cross-border payments.

🔍 For institutions already ready with ISO 20022:

⚜️Conduct tests to eliminate the dependency on MT.

⚜️Choose to disable In-flow translation before December 19 to avoid charges.

⚜️Make sure you have tested the changes to the usage identifier included in the SR25 update.

⚜️Validate all updated messages in the FINplus pilot environment.

🛠️ For those who are not yet ready:

🎯Assess the impact with the Swift toolkit.

🎯Conduct contingency and MT → ISO 20022 conversion tests.

🎯Understand how alternative processing will work after November 22.

📬 Structured postal addresses:

From November 2025, hybrid addresses will be introduced. By November 2026, unstructured addresses will be rejected. Swift launches an #AI tool to help structure legacy data, available for free.

📘 Do you use interbank MT101?

Check the Payment Initiation Relay Rulebook and access it before October 1 to facilitate the transition.
