Binance Founder: Trump Could Be Satoshi Nakamoto, The Inventor of Bitcoin

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, predicted that U.S. President Donald Trump could be Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous inventor of Bitcoin.

Zhao made his remarks via a tweet on platform X, in response to a post that recorded Trump's statement saying he had not met the Binance founder before.

Zhao wrote in his tweet: "President Trump said he believes he hasn't met me yet, and that's true... It would be an honor for me to do so one day."

He added: "President Trump and Satoshi... they might be the same person."

This comment comes after Trump issued a presidential pardon for Zhao, who had been convicted during the administration of former President Joe Biden and spent four months in prison.

Trump later clarified that his decision to pardon Zhao came because he believed he was not guilty but was subjected to what he described as "persecution" by the Biden administration, noting that he had never met him, but responded to the demands of "many good people" who assured him of his innocence.
