Let me share a very honest trading experience and a painful lesson I learned. Back in March 2024 I bought Filecoin at $11. I invested a total of $4.237 and received exactly 385.22 FIL in my portfolio. Right now my remaining balance is only 236.78 FIL because I had to sell some of it to cover my personal needs.
My absolute biggest mistake was trading without a stop loss and I honestly admit my error here. I never imagined that FIL would just keep dropping continuously. It was so frustrating because when BTC was moving up FIL did not move at all. But the moment BTC dropped even just a little bit FIL dumped way harder.
It is crazy to think about because back in 2024 Filecoin was still sitting comfortably in the top 25 projects. Fast forward to today and even reaching $1 feels extremely difficult for this coin.
You guys can say whatever you want to judge me for this trade. I am just sharing my reality so you all remember how crucial risk management really is in this market.
