An Iranian lawmaker stated on Monday that if Iran's coastal security is threatened, the security of the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf will also be affected. According to Odaily, Fadahossein Maleki, a member of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, accused the United States of hindering negotiation progress. He claimed that U.S. actions, including a maritime blockade, violate the ceasefire agreement. Maleki further asserted that Iran has full control over the Strait of Hormuz and is not seeking negotiations or a ceasefire.
