Cryptocurrency Market-Wide Liquidations Exceed $600 Million
The crypto market faced severe pressure with over $600 million in futures liquidated in the past 24 hours, including $148 million in Ethereum longs.
Bitcoin liquidations alone reached $303 million, triggered by weak market confidence and macro uncertainty. This forced selling has extended beyond Bitcoin to major altcoins, with Ethereum down 5.6%, XRP down 3.8%, and Solana down 3.2% in 24-hour trading.
Mt. Gox also made a significant move, transferring $956 million worth of Bitcoin as prices tanked, adding to downward pressure.
