They had never been to Rushan before, and in the end, they won the auction for this apartment. Some netizens believe that an 80,000 yuan sea view apartment is a scam, while local netizens claim that the housing prices in the area are indeed very low.
Jimu News reporters noted that on November 12, this netizen posted another video stating that she and her husband decided to drive over 900 kilometers from Henan to Weihai Rushan to see the sea view apartment they won in the auction. On November 13, she posted a video responding to some netizens' questions, claiming that she initially posted the video to record their family decision. Regarding netizens questioning her “accidental online purchase,” she stated that large payments online are password-free payments, “Just scan your face, and the payment is successful, no password needed.” Moreover, the starting price for this apartment was 1,111 yuan, with an increment of over 100 yuan, but it would automatically increase by 50,000 yuan in between, so she suspected it was a trick of the online auction platform. She also mentioned that the sea view apartment has already been successfully transferred, “A 70 square meter two-bedroom apartment, on the 4th floor of a multi-story building without an elevator, and no heating.”
On November 15, this netizen posted a video stating she had arrived in Weihai Rushan and filmed the interior of the sea view apartment, “This is a house from 2006, and it looks quite clean inside.” On November 22, Jimu News reporters privately contacted this netizen, but she declined the interview. Subsequently, reporters discovered that the sea view apartment purchased for 80,000 yuan is located in a certain community in the eastern part of Yintan, which is relatively remote. This community is divided into southern and northern areas, with most buildings being 6-story walk-up apartments, with a garage on the first floor.
