Kite is developing a blockchain platform purpose-built for agentic payments, enabling autonomous AI agents to transact with security, verifiable identity, and programmable governance. As AI systems increasingly operate on behalf of users, organizations, and other machines, they require a financial layer that supports autonomous decision-making while maintaining strong guarantees of trust and accountability. Kite provides this foundation by combining decentralized identity, cryptographic attestations, and smart-contract–based policy controls.
Through Kite’s identity framework, each agent can prove who or what it is, the credentials it holds, and the permissions it has been granted. This verifiable identity model allows agents to engage in payments without relying on centralized intermediaries, reducing friction and enabling novel forms of automation. Governance rules—such as spending limits, compliance checks, multi-party approvals, or behavior constraints—can be encoded directly into on-chain logic, ensuring transactions follow transparent, auditable procedures.
By integrating these capabilities, Kite aims to create a resilient transactional fabric for the emerging machine economy. Autonomous agents can pay for compute, data, APIs, or services in real.
