I have observed a growing issue across many social media reward campaigns.
Too often, visibility is driven by engagement numbers alone. Accounts using engagement groups, repetitive comments, or artificial interactions can accumulate points quickly, while creators who focus on research, education, and original insights may struggle to receive the same recognition.
This creates a challenge for the ecosystem. When rewards are tied primarily to metrics rather than content quality, the incentive shifts away from learning and meaningful discussion.
Long-term growth comes from rewarding value, accuracy, and genuine community contributions—not just impressions and comment counts.
A stronger campaign model would balance engagement metrics with content quality, originality, educational value, and authentic participation.
The goal should not be the loudest voices, but the most valuable ones.
