🚀 Upcoming Ethereum Upgrade
The Fusaka upgrade is one of the largest updates for Ethereum following the 'Merge'. The mainnet hard fork is scheduled for December 3, 2025.
• Core Objective: Significantly improve the data availability and scalability of Layer 2 solutions (like Arbitrum and Optimism) while lowering transaction fees.
• Key Technologies:
• PeerDAS (Peer Data Availability Sampling): Allows nodes to verify data through sampling rather than storing all data. Official tests show that it can increase the throughput of data blocks (Blobs) by about eight times, greatly freeing up data space and fee flexibility on Layer 2.
• Block Gas Limit Increase: The block gas limit will be raised from 30 million units to 150 million units, conservatively estimating that it can increase the mainnet TPS from around 15-20 transactions to 40-60 transactions.
