There isn't much to talk about today. Yesterday, everyone was still immersed in the panic caused by Japan's interest rate hike. Today, there is a scene of prosperity. First of all, the rise from yesterday to today can be attributed to the release of the sentiment surrounding Japan's interest rate hike, but more credit goes to the Federal Reserve injecting $13.5 billion into the banking system through overnight repurchase operations (Repo), which is considered a favorable sign.
To put it crudely, because the Federal Reserve has supplied funds to the banking system, and $13.5 billion is a massive amount, it’s considered positive.
A slightly more official point is that overnight repurchase, as the name suggests, needs to be bought back overnight. Correspondingly, there is the overnight reverse repurchase.
Anyway, this is just fragmented information. As I mentioned yesterday, every additional piece of the puzzle leads to a different outcome. Previously, I discussed with you that Japan's interest rate hike could lead to a significant downturn, and then yesterday I received a lot of information, ultimately arriving at a new statement that the impact is not that significant!
Personally, I feel that very few people in the market can explain macroeconomic concepts in simple terms like I do, so that even novices can understand!
