Michael Burry — Calls vs. Market Reaction

Michael Burry recently warned that the current AI-boom is a “glorious folly,” singled out Nvidia as “the new Cisco of AI,” and took big put-option bets against Nvidia and Palantir.
He also slammed Bitcoin as worthless — the “tulip-bulb of our time.”

Yet despite these warnings: many AI-related and crypto-assets haven’t collapsed. The market seems to keep pricing in hype — not fundamentals.

Maybe that’s the real message: today’s boom isn’t driven by value, but by belief, momentum, and fea of missing out.
