A passage of enlightenment:

"A pile of mud is fine as it is, yet you insist on propping it up against the wall; a salted fish lies well, yet you insist on turning it over; a decayed wood is fine as it is, yet you insist on carving it into something useful. Everything you do goes against the natural order; whoever you sympathize with, your subconscious will carry their karmic consequences.

The greatest self-discipline of an adult is to restrain oneself from correcting the desires of others, to not intervene casually in the karmic affairs of others. In the adult world, there is only selection, not education; only choice, not change."

Every person has their own awakening period; do not force others to wake up. Everyone has their own tribulations to overcome, and they can only attain understanding themselves. What is not realized by them is of no use, even if you give it all to them.

Though the rain may be heavy, it does not nourish grass without roots. Though the Buddha's teachings may be broad, they do not save those without affinity. If you have a connection, you may ask, and they can be saved; this tribulation can be avoided. If you have no connection, even if you advise them a thousand times or stop them ten thousand times, it is of no use.
