Another recommendation for beginners (a category I include myself in): Set a percentage of your portfolio to hold in dollars to take advantage of these low moments. I had roughly 15 to 20% of my wealth in dollars, which helped me buy during the dips in these last few days. In my new investment, I will reserve a portion in dollars and so it goes.
