The White House launched a new website listing journalists and media outlets that the Trump administration has identified as 'liars'.

China should implement its own 'News Law'! We protect the freedom of the press and the freedom of speech of journalists, but we cannot tolerate those media outlets and journalists who commit news fraud and spread rumors under the guise of freedom of speech, especially the Western media and journalists who have smeared China for decades! We cannot always focus on regulating social media; we must hold official media and Western media to stricter standards rather than the opposite, as they are the ones profiting from this!

News media and journalists have a responsibility to verify the authenticity of news and be accountable for it! They should not only be responsible for the news and reports themselves but also for the unverified fake news they forward, including some so-called international news media in China that merely forward Western media news without verification, parroting without criticism, and even dancing to the tune of Western media. Over time, they have become complicit. You are Chinese media, not transporters of Western media! You are journalists, and it is your responsibility and duty to verify the authenticity of news! This is the fundamental code of conduct and standard in the journalism industry! If you cannot do it, then do not engage in it!
