Something I wish I had learned much earlier in life:
The 8+8+8 Rule.
Most people don’t realise their time is completely misaligned.
Some pour everything into their job or business.
Others avoid it and invest their energy everywhere else.
Both extremes hurt growth.
Both extremes limit potential.
The truth is simple: you need balance, not overcorrection.
And that’s where The 8+8+8 Rule changes everything:
🧑🏻💻 8 Hours of Hard Work
↳ Show up, focus deeply, and give your best to what pays your bills and builds your future.
↳ If you work with intention, 8 hours is more than enough.
🛌 8 Hours of Good Sleep
↳ Sleep is the foundation for productivity, mood, and longevity.
↳ Bryan Johnson says it best: “Build your life around sleep. No greater ROI anywhere.”
🧑🧑🧒 8 Hours on the 3Fs, 3Hs, and 3Ss
↳ 3Fs: Family, friends, faith
↳ 3Hs: Health, hygiene, hobby
↳ 3Ss: Soul, service, smile
This is the part most of us ignore,
yet it’s the part that keeps us human.
When you adopt this rule, you naturally:
📈 Increase productivity
🧠 Improve mental health
🌍 Live with clarity and intention
This isn’t a trend.
I started using this framework years ago, and I still live by it.
It may feel unusual at first, but the balance it creates is life-changing.
