Trump called Europe a "dying" group of nations led by "weak" people, belittling traditional US allies for their inability to control migration and put an end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He said this in an interview with Politico.
"I think they are weak," Trump said of Europe's political leaders. "But I also think they want to be so politically correct."
«I think they don't know what to do,» he added. «Europe doesn't know what to do.»
The American leader also noted that in the ongoing conflict, «Russia is obviously in a stronger position than Ukraine.»
On Monday, Trump stated that he proposed a new peace plan project that some Ukrainian officials liked, but that Zelensky himself has not yet considered.
«It would be nice if he read it,» Trump said.
By throwing a new challenge to Zelensky, who appears politically weakened due to a corruption scandal, Trump renewed his call for new elections in Ukraine, the publication writes.
«They haven't had elections for a long time,» Trump said. «You know, they talk about democracy, but it comes to the point that it is no longer democracy.»
