🔍 ICP: Selling a lot but the price is not decreasing – What is happening?
In the past 24 hours, ICP recorded overwhelming selling volume, with significant outflows still negative. However, the price has remained stable around the range of 3.65–3.72 USDT without a sharp drop. This is a very notable phenomenon.
3 important signals:
• Positive Funding Rate (~0.008%) → The market still leans slightly towards Long, not Short pressuring the price.
• Taker Sell is high but the price does not break support → There is strong Buy absorption below.
• Open Interest is increasing + price is stable → New money is still entering the market, not an outflow of funds.
Additionally, the Long/Short ratio shows retail traders leaning towards Short, while large players still hold Long – fitting the model of “retail traders are skeptical, sharks are accumulating.”
ICP is currently in an accumulation phase – price pinning – absorbing selling pressure.
This is not yet a selling phase, but also not a breakout phase. The price will only really surge when:
• Funding increases rapidly,
• Taker Buy is overwhelming,
• The price decisively surpasses the range of 3.85 – 3.90 USDT.
👉 Selling a lot does not mean a crash – it may be that “stockpiling” is happening. As long as BTC remains stable.
