The INJ token is the native utility and governance token of the Injective ecosystem, with several core use cases:

Staking & Security: Users stake their INJ tokens to secure the network via the PoS mechanism and earn staking rewards.
Deflationary Mechanism: A significant feature is the weekly "buy-back-and-burn" auction. 60% of all fees generated from dApps on Injective are pooled and auctioned off. The winning bid, paid in INJ, is then permanently burned (removed from circulation), creating a deflationary pressure on the token's supply.
