Today, a WeChat account linked to @heyibinance was compromised, and the attacker promoted the meme token $Mubarakah, leading to a rapid price spike on BSC. Binance CEO @cz_binance confirmed the breach and warned users not to engage with posts from the hacked account.
On-chain data indicates the hacker created two new wallets (0x6739 and 0xD0B8) and used them to purchase roughly 21.16M $Mubarakah with 19,479 USDT. The activity coincided with the posts from the compromised account.
This incident highlights the risks of social-engineering attacks via hacked accounts. Traders are advised to verify sources carefully and stay cautious of suspicious “official” promotions.
