**Standard Chartered Reduces Bitcoin Price Projection to Only US$100,000**

Standard Chartered has lowered its Bitcoin price projection from US$200,000 to US$100,000 by the end of 2025. The long-term target of US$500,000 has also been pushed back two years, from 2028 to 2030.

This cut is made because Bitcoin has yet to recover since its collapse last November for several reasons.

The bank assesses that large purchases from companies like Strategy have stopped, making exchange-traded funds (ETFs) the only significant source of demand.

Additionally, ETF inflows have drastically slowed from 50,000 BTC per quarter, down from 450,000 BTC at the end of 2024.

This situation is exacerbated by political pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump on the independence of The Fed, which affects risk assets, causing Bitcoin to get stuck in a narrow price range.

Nevertheless, Standard Chartered also rejects the old halving cycle model and states that a "crypto winter" is very unlikely to happen again.
