However, the way whales and sharks typically operate is by placing two orders of the same size at the same price simultaneously: a futures sell and a spot buy, with the intention of profiting from funding fees. The loss on the futures will be compensated by the spot. So, in reality, it may seem like they are losing a lot, but in fact, they are making a profit.
So don't teach rich people how to spend their money. It's all already calculated in their plans.
