China Construction Bank responds to transfer remarks about Dogecoin being locked: If high risk is detected, the account will be set to "no receipts, no payments" status.
According to China News Weekly, recently a user had their account restricted to "no receipts, no payments" status by China Construction Bank due to the appearance of the term "Dogecoin" in their bank transfer remarks, causing concern.
On December 11, China News Weekly called the customer service hotline of China Construction Bank again for consultation, and the staff stated that the bank does not engage in virtual currency transactions, but if high risk is detected, the account may be set to "no receipts, no payments" status, which can also be understood as being "locked". The specific criteria for this determination should be consulted with the corresponding account manager.
Subsequently, China News Weekly called the banking and insurance consumer complaint hotline 12378 to inquire about relevant regulations, and the staff stated that they only record complaints and do not have the authority to provide answers.
Currently, Ms. Yu has submitted her husband's bank transaction records and a handwritten letter of commitment, and is applying to lift the account restrictions; while her husband's account opening bank staff responded that after submitting their marriage certificate, they could apply to lift the restrictions.
