Sei's official Twitter today posted a message clarifying that the Xiaomi phone pre-installation is just for a wallet app for the Sei chain, and not a full cooperation between Xiaomi and Sei.
The news on Chain Catcher about 'Sei and Xiaomi reaching a cooperation' was also deleted yesterday, and now it leads to a 404 error.
When the enemy enters the village, it should be quiet; no shooting allowed. Sei released this clarification, probably due to pressure from Xiaomi.
In the future, in compliant countries, it's not surprising for phones to pre-install a virtual currency wallet or even a trading app, as long as these apps have local compliant trading licenses.
