ME news, December 12 (UTC+8), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company ADNOC Distribution will begin accepting AE Coin stablecoin for payments at its retail network of nearly 980 gas stations located in the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. This initiative is implemented in cooperation with Al Maryah Community Bank. AE Coin is the first stablecoin in the UAE to be licensed by the central bank and is pegged to the dirham at a 1:1 ratio.
