Bloomberg reports that US brokerage giant Interactive Brokers has allowed retail investors to deposit using stablecoins. Interactive Brokers is a platform for many overseas individuals to trade US stocks, such as Taiwanese investors who usually use overseas brokerages or custodial services to trade US stocks. Among overseas brokerages, Interactive Brokers and Firstrade are the most popular. If stablecoin deposits are allowed, retail investors can avoid high transaction fees, and funds can be credited in seconds, saving time-consuming processes.
However, this stablecoin deposit is limited to the United States, but Interactive Brokers has stated that it will gradually open up.
