The U.S. Supreme Court will decide on the legality of Trump's fees
According to ChainCatcher, the U.S. Supreme Court is set to decide on the legality of the comprehensive fees submitted by U.S. President Donald Trump in April. This decision could pose a new challenge for the stock market. Since hitting a low in April, the S&P 500 index has risen by 39%, reaching a record high at the close on Thursday. If the fees are deemed to exceed legal authority, the market may face uncertainty in the future. The court held its last public hearing on Wednesday, with the next session scheduled for January 9 of next year. Oh Sung Kwan, chief equity strategist at Wells Fargo, expects that if the fees are canceled, the earnings of S&P 500 component companies could grow by 2.4% by 2026.
